Pennsylvania State Building and Construction Trades Council: Pennsylvania State Building Trades Council leadership win unanimous re-election.

HARRISBURG, Pa. -- The incumbent leadership of the Pennsylvania State Building and Construction Trades Council (PA BCTC) has been re-elected to a Four year term of office. The PA BCTC representing over 135,000 unionized construction workers, along with their families, working together with more than 3,500 construction contractors throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
The Delegates to the 2014 Pennsylvania State Building Trades Convention, held in Harrisburg, PA, unanimously elected Frank A. Sirianni as President and Walter A. Friedrich as Secretary-Treasurer, as well as 19 Vice Presidents and Trustees, on Monday, June 9, 2014,.
Sirianni was first elected in 2002 and was unanimously re-elected in 2006, 2010 and again this year. Friedrich was unanimously elected Secretary-Treasurer in 2006, and reelected 2010 and again this year. Sirianni and Friedrich have been leading the fight to maintain and improve standards and conditions in the Pennsylvania construction industry.
"The Pennsylvania State Building and Construction Trades Council has been working to maintain the highest standards of safety, training, and quality in construction in the Commonwealth for decades," said Sirianni. "It is my honor to serve this great organization, and I look forward to continuing our work to preserve and expand good, high quality construction trades jobs in Pennsylvania with family sustaining pay and benefits."
“Our Council, and our members, have been deeply involved in promoting the use of cost saving Project Labor Agreements and Responsible Contractors in Pennsylvania for construction projects like schools, state prisons and other large publicly and privately funded projects. The PA BCTC has also been closely involved in the push and development of new technologies, which have the potential to create thousands of new construction, and transportation jobs in Pennsylvania”. Said Friedrich.
